Voices in Harmony

The closing ceremony of an Euro-Med Youth Exchange funded in Lebanon

The Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK) organized a youth choral gathering entitled “Voices in Harmony” that combined more than 100 participants from Europe and Lebanon in workshops, seminars and concerts.

This event, hosted by the Faculty of Music, took place on October 24 until October 29, 2013 inclusive.

This activity is part of the implementation of a contract signed in the framework of the Euromed Youth program entitled "Voices in Harmony”. One of the objectives of this activity (Action 1) was bringing together 100 choir members from Lebanon and EU countries to share and exchange on different forms of freedom of expression through diverse chanting noticed in the Christian and Moslem groups and practices both in Lebanon and Europe.

It was a special closing ceremony with the involvement of several people from all the religions in Lebanon and with participants from Germany, Hungary and Cyprus. The goal of this forum was to emphasize the fact that it is possible for civilizations and religions to converge and to interact instead of grappling and fighting.
