13 NGOs from Beirut, Tripoli, surrounding cities, from the 11th until the 15th of November, have participated to the third Training course for Mentors and Responsible of EVS (European Voluntary Service) projects in Lebanon.
These organizations have been selected by SALTO-Youth EuroMed & Good Practices Resource Centre. Two representatives of each NGO have been invited to participate in this training taking place in Beirut. The training course has been realised with the support of GIZ.
The training course aimed to prepare the NGOs to host and send volunteers within the framework of both the Erasmus + and EuroMed Youth IV programmes, enhancing thus the quality of youth work at national level.
The training course will be followed by field visits conducted by accreditors belonging to the National Agencies in charge of the Erasmus + Youth Programme. The accreditors will provide their assessments about the NGO’s capacity for sending and hosting volunteers.
In 2015, any organisation from South Mediterranean countries wishing to be involved in EVS as sending or hosting organisation must be accredited. Accreditation serves to gain access to EVS and to ensure a common quality standard. Without accreditation no sending or/and hosting of volunteers is possible.
