How to manage a project in the framework of Euromed Youth IV

The first Tunisian training session, UNE FORMATION A LA CONDUITE DE PROJETS DANS EUROMED JEUNESSE IV (A training for project management in the framework of Euromed Youth IV), took place in Maison des jeunes (Youth club) of Hammam Sousse, Tunisia the 21st and the 22nd September.

The Tunisian Euromed Youth Unit organized, with the support of the RCBS (Regional Capacity Building and Support Unit for the EuroMed Youth Programme IV), this two day session to describe to the managers or active members of associations and institutions the objectives and actions of the Euromed Youth Programme IV, to train them on Project Management and on intercultural issues in the Euro-Mediterranean cooperation.

60 people representing 57 Tunisian Youth NGOs have participated: 42 men and 18 women coming from 17 regions on 24 of the Republic of Tunisia.

This training event was the first one of a cycle of work-shops and activities organized in the framework of the EuroMed Youth Program Phase IV, and as part of the information to the public and youth organizations interested on submitting projects for funding within the above mentioned program.

Experts and trainers on educational content, procedures and communication from the RCBS Team (Regional Capacity Building and Support Unit for the EuroMed Youth Programme IV) has supervised the training together with some Tunisian multipliers and the Head of Tunisian Euromed Youth, Mohsen Hakiri.

Lastly, concerning the calls for proposal, a total of 12 projects have been submitted in Tunisia that was among the four countries (Egypt, Palestine, Tunisia and Jordan) involved by the first deadline of June 14, 2011. The assessment is still under finalization by the evaluation committee of the Euromed Unit concerned.
