EuroMed Youth Units prepare themselves to evaluate project proposals

The second regional meeting of the EuroMed Youth IV Programme took place in Amman June 27th for two days to provide training to EuroMed Youth Programme IV participating countries Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Morocco, Lebanon, Occupied Palestinian Territory and Tunisia on Calls for Proposals Evaluation and Contracts preparation.

5 Euromed Units out of the invited 8 participated: Palestinian Territories, Israel, Egypt, Tunisia, Jordan.

This training event was the second one of a cycle of Work-shops and Capacity Building activities which started in February 2011 with the official Youth Programme Phase IV kick off.

The main objective of this Regional Meeting was to provide the EuroMed Youth Units responsible for managing the Evaluation Process of the Call of Proposals with refreshment and some practical support, most notably to acquaint them with the key points and steps to be undertaken in the frame of a Call of Proposal Evaluation Process.

The training has been structured in 5 main sessions about a recall on EMYU responsibilities, Call for Proposals’ Guidelines, Evaluation Process, Contracts Preparation, Training on Web tool utilization for Programme Estimates and CFP Assessments and Bilateral meetings.

A pool of experts and trainers from the RCBS Team (Regional Capacity Building and Support Unit for the EuroMed Youth Programme IV) was mobilized in order to provide support to the EMYU’s while managing the Call for Proposals’ Evaluation process.
